Message to Veteran Band and Bugles
The following message has been received from Col Rex Stephenson CBE. Though it names only Tex, Alan and myself; the message is a thanks to all who performed.
"Tex, Colin and Alan hi, just a quick note to thank you all again for a brilliant performance at the Reunion this year. You proved that with the our excellent sound system and your outstanding bugling we can hold future reunions without a band - although as we agreed we need to get a marching band every time. The Veterans' Band with our Buglers made the most wonderful music and Tex and Colin are to be congratulated on a magical concert. Hugely proud of you all. I listened to Stan's excellent CD all the way home. There was a track from a concert with the Salamanca Band and 2LI Bugles and the Drums and Pipes of the Gordon Highlanders. We were together in Iserlohn and I was Band president. Once again many thanks for all your hard work to make the Reunion so successful. Yours Rex"
The Veteran Band and Bugles were the talk of the All Ranks Dinner. A massive "thank you" to all of you for your support.
